Starry

Beautiful, ebony skin
Dark eyes
Scenic in form
Full of grace
Her curse—beauty defined
by the majority race

Her gift is within
Superseding her skin
A gift that few have but many want

Individualism from the start
Fascinating
Class act

Her clothes bare her soul
Impeccable taste
Hollywood—I say

All the qualities that jealous people hate
Starry is full of grace and must be disgraced
By negative people in her face

Running their mouths
About obscene things
because of her special gift from within

Jealousy exists
She has few friends
Rejected by her own
She is all alone

Beautiful Starry
People make her pay for her God-given gift
That comes from within and exceeds her skin

Starry’s just doing her job
Shining like a star
her natural thing

Stars are in the sky and they shine
All eyes are on them
Who can say that a star in the sky
That shines so bright is not beautiful

Do we hate on them for doing
What they were created to do
People have many gifts, too

Ducks will never recognize Swan
They don’t swim in the same pond
Therefore, like a foreign object in the body
Ducks follow the leader and project pain

As they do nothing but sit on window panes
No individuality by choice
Don’t accept another’s personality

Beautiful Starry
People make her pay for her God-given gift
That comes from within and exceeds her skin
She exists in solitude

People can see her gift from within
Shine Starry
You don’t have to try
You’re just like a star in the sky

Your gift is within
Just Do You
Walk into a room and shine
You’re not a foreigner
on the decline

Starry appreciates ducks
But ducks and Swan
Don’t swim in the same pond
